My nephew and me went to a pantomime. His first and my first for a great number of decades.
We stopped off at a coffee shop before going in and I ordered him a glass of milk. I don't think this particular chain is geared up for children, unless they're having over-priced fizzy stuff which he doesn't have. I was a little concerned about the size of this and the fact it was in a (breakable) glass.
I shouldn't have worried. The milk was dispensed with in one go. Hope he doesn't take to drinking pints like that in later life.
The afternoon went well, although he was extremely frustrated by the main characters who took no notice of him or the rest of the audience, when he quite rightly pointed out that the skeleton was behind them. He was really quite annoyed.
I love a panto. Sadly Louis doesn't want to go this year. Maybe he'll grow back into them. x
ReplyDeleteYou might have to borrow someone else's child for that!
DeleteThanks for visiting my blog, I hide the cat nip in the drawer but as soon as I get it out they know the sound and they are all there. ha ha.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to a panto for years and years, gad the little one enjoyed it.

You're welcome. Love seeing what your moggies are up to.
DeleteHow sweet! I'm glad that you had a good time, Jx
ReplyDeleteWe did, thanks. I was a little worried he wouldn't get it, but it wasn't the type with lots innuendo jokes for the adults.
